Michael Sydney Moore was born in London in 1991. After leaving
Central Saint Martins with a Bachelor in Fine Arts in 2012; he
began selling his paintings at the age of 21. Now 25, his selected
notable achievements include a feature in the Daily Mail, August
2014, Jennifer Smith: 'Incredible portraits look just like photos -
but in fact they’re hyper-realistic paintings that recreate every
wrinkle, hair and pore in meticulous detail’ and selection in the Mall Galleries 2014
Threadneedle Prize.
Michael's current practice is focused on blurring the line between
elements of photography and live sittings. Achieving the vibrancy
of colour and shadow live sittings afford as well as the freedom of
time photography affords.
Michael currently resides and works in East London.
